Woke up to a DRY Sunday morning, makes a nice change! As the sun rose up, the good news continued as the day was shaping up to be bright and breezy, perfect conditions!

Set up at the event village going well with DJ Fester's jetwash and his little tea shop, and best of all the course was holding up well. A quick (haha) ride around by me on the morning of the race showed that all the tape and signs were still where they were meant to be and the course conditions were ideal.

After a last minute rush to get all marshalls to their positions the race began and what a great start! The start of the race was recorded and is now on facebook and is worth a look! As riders began coming through after lap 1 comments were good about the course and the marshalls!! Lots of encouragement, some of which was rather loud!!

Christmas music being played and antlers in abundance added to the festivities, making the race enjoyable and giving that little but of extra encouragement when the pain started to kick in. As the exertions of the day took its toll the doors of the social club opened and those who wanted it were able to have a nice drink and relax in the warm and cosy environment on offer. A good day was had by all!
