The 12:12 Torq in your Sleep - preview

We know it's hard to believe but the fabulously dedicated Gorrick team have now been delivering quality mountain bike events for 20 years. The entries are now open for their newest edition to the portfolio, Torq in your Sleep, a fun filled 12 hour enduro, that has taken the endurance scene by storm. In just a short time it has now become one of THE must do events of the year. Now as part of their year long 20th anniversary celebrations Gorrick will be raising the bar of excellence once again to make this 12-hour enduro the most talked about, for all the right reasons!

Whether you are a racing veteran or a weekend warrior this event has something for everyone, featuring a classic Gorrick quality, weather proof 8 mile, figure of 8 course, combining sinuously flowing singletrack interspersed with short bursts of fire road to help you recover for the next bit of ducking 'n diving that will leave you grinning from ear to ear and wanting more. Plus you won't need to race your legs off to win anything. A fantastic number of spot prizes are on offer from our generous supporters, you literally just have to sign on to be in with a chance to walk away with some cracking surprises as well as an excellent race goodie bag, though if you want to race for those podium spots, we won't stop you!

Situated at Minley Manor, the event is easy to reach being just minutes from the M3 at junction 4A, offering loads of room for camping, with showers & toilets in plentiful supply plus a number of trade stands where you and your supporters can browse for all manner of bike related goodies. Quaver Catering will be on hand throughout the event supplying endless quantities of hot and cold beverages and food, including the classic bacon butties! At the finish you'll be invited to partake in a pint or two of local beer and a handful of chocolates as you relate tales of raving tunes and battles won or lost out there in the woods to your friends while cheering those who reached those elusive podium spots and hoping you've won a spot prize! Headline sponsor Torq will be on site talking you through and letting you try their extensive range of performance proved natural sport nutrition products, while light sponsor Four4ths will be there to provide illuminated temptation and renowned sports photographer Joolze Dymond will be lurking in the bushes capturing your finest moments…

Entries are now being taken for the event, so if you are aged 16 and over, you can decide whether you want to ride Solo, as part of a Pair or a Team of 3 or 4. Get your entries in now to guarantee a spot in one of the friendliest events on the circuit and find out for yourself why hundreds of riders make the pilgrimage every year to enjoy a fantastic weekend.

Remember the race starts at 12 midday Sunday and you'll find yourself enjoying most of the race in daylight, but make sure you come armed with suitable lights to get you through those last couple of dark hours.
