It's the last Gorrick TrailTrax of the year and, if you live in the Basingstoke area why not give it a go?
TrailTrax are mtb orienteering events that offer fast, challenging riding or leisure riding – it’s entirely up to you – there are categories for Solo, Pairs, Groups of friends and Families.
HQ is at ‘The Jolly Farmer’ pub, Farleigh Road, Cliddesden, Hants RG25 2JL, a superb pub with a pleasant beer garden. The Candovers offer a wonderful variety of tracks in scenic surroundings, so If you don’t know the area well, it's a chance to enjoy them.
To take part you just:
• Plan your route on a map pre-marked with 20 check points of varying values. Your riding time doesn’t start until you are ready to go.
• Ride to as many checkpoints as you want, punching your card when you’re there, to collect points.
• Return to HQ within your chosen time limit (either 2 or 3 hours).
• Hand in your card and then relax, chat and enjoy the food and drink available in a cosy pub before the friendly prize giving courtesy of www.mountain-trax.com the events’ sponsor.
As it's the last event of the year there are Series trophies up for grabs too.
