The new look British Mountain Bike Series has confirmed it's dates and venues for 2009. Old favourites and new locations come together to create a new vibrancy to XC racing in Britain at British Cycling's official XC race series.

Montane Kielder 100 - 2009
Britains first 100 mile, single lap, mountain bike race being held at Kielder Forest & Water Park. The route will use a variety of manmade trails, tracks and fireroads in Kielder Forest and crosses the border into Scotland to use the Newcastleton 7Stanes trails. Camping close to race start. Entry fee includes: feed stations, tech support, race momento, trophies/prizes for race winners and spot prizes.

There will also be prizes for the first male/female single speeders.

Brighton Big Dog 2009
Saturday August 15th, Stanmer Park, Brighton

This summer Brighton welcomes a bike race with bite. A 6 hour race around the amazing parkland trails of Stanmer Park featuring tough climbs and awesome singletrack which was a personal favourite of Gary Fisher's last year. All the profits will go behind the bar for the party in Brighton afterwards. Well, it would be rude not too!

There are 4 different categories to enter. Solo, Pairs, Team of Three and Open Retro (pre-95 bikes only!). Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 of each category as well as on the spot prizes such as the "Hot Dog" prize for the fastest lap of the race. If you fancy a one lap scoot around to see what everyone is talking about then why not enter the Oneder Dog category on the day. It comes with free tea and cake too!

Forest of Dean MTB Enduro 2009
Bringing the opportunity to compete in and enjoy the Forest of Dean’s miles of seemingly endless single-track, smooth, fast and undulating fire roads, and steep technical climbs and descents.

The event uses a slightly revised 10 mile course this year that is challenging enough to offer Elite riders a tough and demanding marathon event, whilst offering beginner riders an achievable and fun challenge.
