On the 22nd September 2012 a 6 hour lapped endurance mountain bike race comes to the classic venue of Margam Country Park, South Wales. The event will have a choice of either the full 6 hour or a shorter 3 hour course, categories for trios, pairs and solo competitors.

The course will be made up using all the classic XC race trails that have been used in the park over the past decade or more with some new sections being worked on specially for the event.

Racers can expect a mix of steep, fast descents with more than a fair share of technical climbing, making it an excellent, fun and interesting course to race on. The proposed route is 11km long with up to 450m ascent per lap.

Just minutes off the M4, Junction 38, Margam Country Park offers much more than excellent mountain biking opportunities, so why not bring along your family and friends for the weekend.

Saturday night with refreshments to lighten the mood and relax after a hard day's racing.

Camping is available for the friday and saturday night, but costs £4.50 per person per night - add it as an extra when entering.

With a 3hr race run within the 6hr you have the chance to thrash it out for the shorter period or push your endurance and stamina on this extremely challenging course for the whole duration.

There are 3 categories to compete in, Solo, Pairs and teams of three.
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 positions in all categories along with spot prizes and something for the fastest lap of the day all kindly provided by one of our main sponsors Decade
