Whether you are getting ready for your first Stinger, or are a seasoned duathlete wanting to get faster, Fully Sussed’s Maddie and Jay Horton will help you achieve your goal.

Maddie Horton and Jay Horton have both won The Stinger numerous times.  Maddie has competed for Great Britain in running and mountain biking, for England in duathlon, and has never been beaten in a mountain bike duathlon.  Jay has a string of top running and mountain biking results to his name, and has never been outside the top 3 in a mountain bike duathlon.

What is covered?

Off-road running skill and effort session

Mountain bike handling skill session

Transition practice and effort session

Theory session:

Training for the event

What to wear / what to eat

How to pace yourself

How to cope with run to bike, then bike to run

How not to fall on your face and look like an idiot (actually we can't guarantee that, but we'll try.)

Athletes will be sent on their way with a suggested training schedule, with 8 weeks of specific duathlon training designed to get them to the start line ready to rumble.

The training days will be held in Newnham Park and will include practice on sections of the race courses.

Stinger training dates:

Saturday 30th November (10am-4pm)

Saturday 4th January (10am - 4pm)

Additional date to be added if numbers exceed capacity:
 Saturday 18th January

Numbers are restricted to 12 participants, so book now to avoid disappointment.

The cost is £40 per person.
