It is a week to go to the 4th Exposure Night of the Knobbly Tread Race being held on the 18th October at Black Park Country Park, which is situated between Uxbridge and Slough in West London and easily accessible being close to the M40, M4 and the M25
The event goes away from the long endurance type of night time events and is a full speed, flat out blast around the forest tracks and tight single track, not forgetting the odd bomb hole with race distances being 9 miles for the fun classes and 15 for those more experienced
The fun events for both male and female start at 7 p.m. With the Open event which has separate prizes for both vets and grand vets start at 8 p.m. so time to ride the race, watch the prize presentation, or collect your prizes and spray the bubbly, enjoy the free burger and tea and still have time for a pint in one of the local country pubs.
It goes without saying that good lights are recommended or make sure you have eaten a lot of carrots!
Despite the last week of rain the circuit is still riding fast and the venue has the advantage of hard standing car park and a purpose built toilet block
Anyone wanting a preview of the circuit can join one of the two familiarisation rides the promoting club the West Drayton MBC will be organising on Tuesday and Thursday of this week meeting at Go Ape at 6 p.m.

With sponsorship from Headline sponsors Exposure and further sponsorship from club sponsors Beyond Mountain Bikes some great prizes are guaranteed to be handed out at the post race presentation where as well as prizes for the fastest riders with the event being close to Halloween there are also prizes for the best fancy dressed competitor.

Pre entry closes on Wed but entry on the day will be available.

On line entry is available at www.blackparkraces.co.uk
