There are 2 weeks to go to the Exposure Night of the Knobbly Tread xc race , this event has really taken off, filling a gap in the market as most of the traditional night time events are usually long Endurance events but this is a short night time cross country race featuring both a fun event for those yet to sample the intense buzz of racing in the dark and an open event for those experienced night time racers. This is the 4th year the event is to be run and once again the main sponsors are Exposure Lights with additional sponsorship from Beyond Mountain Bikes and Party Lights.

Those hoping to be at the sharp end will need to be on form with last year Women's winner, current Southern Elite Champion Cat Ross already entered and men's champions Isaac Puuci also expected to enter and retain his title in the Men's race.

The promoting team from regular Mountain Bike promoters the West Drayton MBC have been working hard at the Black Park Venue to make sure the regulars at this venue have some new trails to tackle on race day the 18th October.

With the races being close to Halloween, in addition to the prizes for the first across the line and age related prizes there will be prizes for the riders sporting the best fancy dress.

Entry on the night at a pre entry fee surcharge will be available for the event, pre –entry available at www.blackparkraces.co.uk

For those wanting a pre view of the course there will be familiarisation sessions at the venue on the next two Tuesday and Thursday’s evenings preceding the event.

Race distances are 15miles for the open event and 9 miles for the fun race, the circuit is a fast twisting 3 mile circuit that will be a mixture of wide forest tracks and tight single track. Good lights are required!
