2XC 2012 Round Preview

Its time to dust off your bike (Yes dust! Not mud thanks to the sunshine!) and plan how your going to get to South Dartmoor College for the 2nd round of the 2XC2012 cross country series. The race takes place in less than a weeks time on Wednesday the 30th of May. Our friends from Exeter Mountain Bike Club have devised a brand new course never ridden before involving woodland single track and open farmland trails with some hidden technical treasures thrown in as you can see from the map below.
Racing begins at 5.30pm for the Go Ride event, aimed at under 12's, it's only £1 to enter and will involve riding around a shorter course than the main race. Next up at 6pm is the 40 minute race for under 18s, over 50's and anyone else who fancies giving racing a go. Then finally the hour long event will start at 7pm aimed at experienced racers over 18 and under 50. You can enter on line via the British Cycling site here, you don't need to be a BC member but you will need to create a log in, it's still quicker than queuing on the day!
