6th Exposure Lights Night of the Knobbly Tread Race

Prolific event organisers the West Drayton MBC/Specialized Concept Store Ruislip are pleased to announce that the date for this years Exposure Night of the Knobbly Tread race has been set and this year the 6^th running of the event will be on Saturday the 17^th September.

The event is held at Black Park Country Park, which is situated between Uxbridge and Slough in West London and easily accessible being close to the M40, M4 and the M25

The event goes away from the long endurance type of night time events and is a full speed flat out blast around the forest tracks and tight single track not forgetting the odd bomb hole with race distances being89 miles for the fun classes, 12miles for the vets and grd vets and 16 for those more experienced at racing.

The races start at 7.30 p.m. and with long term sponsors Exposure lights as well as further sponsorship from The Specialized Concept Store Ruislip and the Bucks Off Road Sportive those at the sharp end will be well rewarded in addition to the celebration champagne presented on the podium.

It goes without saying that good lights are recommended and they don’t come any better than Exposure Lights! The latest range from Exposure will be on display and Light Hire available (Helmet Light £10, Handlebar Light £15) so anyone can give night racing a try.

The Black Park circuit has been used for Mountain Bike racing for the last 10 years and has hosted rounds of the Southern XC series, and although flat the venue has some superb single track with a number of bomb holes to keep riders on their toes.
