Black Park Summer XC Race this Sunday

This Sunday the 4th June  the West Drayton MBC promote their Summer XC race at the Black Park Country Park and although entry on line has closed there is plenty of room for entries on the day.The venue has been used for the past 2 years to host Southern Series events but this year is a stand alone event  and with prizes from the Specialized Concept store plus the usual bubbly and trophies/medals those at the shap end will be well rewarded.The event has BC ranking points for those who are members  

Club riders have been doing a number of laps to bed the circuit in and the course is currently riding very quickly with no muddy sections and it is anticipated things will stay this way for race day, for a preview of the course why not check out the following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnceNuS9jd8&t=14s.

As always we have found a few new sections to keep our regular riders on their toes .

The day racing starts with the youth/Juvenile and beginner races which commence at 9.30, the youths and juvenile will be completing the full course whilst the beginners course misses out some of the more extreme bomb holes, please ensure you follow the correct course which will be marked.

Registration is on the hard standing next to the green at the location where it is has been for the last 2 Southern XC events, for those new to the area please follow the signs. On arrival please ensure you register and pick your number up, it is recommended that a practice lap is completed prior to your race to familiarise yourself with the course, however please ensure you allow racing riders priority.

Awards

There will be trophies/medals for the 1^st 3 in each category regardless of entrant numbers, as well as this there will be additional prizes which will be confirmed on race day. Prizes will be presented at the end of each batch of races.

10:46 Sports 6 Laps 
10:47 Veteran’s 5 Laps
10:48 Grd & Super Vets 4 Laps
10;49 Fun 12+ 3 Laps 
10:52 All women classes will start together
Elite/Expert 6 Laps
Sports 5 Laps
Veteran’s 4 Laps
Grd Vets 3 Laps
Fun 3 Laps
