Once again, the 'cross season has begun before |I've had time to sort out a bike (stop sniggering you at the back making rude comments about my wagon wheels...) or to be more precise as the regional leagues don't kick off yet, Wednesday Floodlit Cyclocross in Rugby. Although the weather was so nice there was no need for floodlights or any dismounting and jumping over obstacles. More a summer offroad crit then...

Compared to the 'flowiness' of mtb courses, the harsh sprinting out of every corner was a shock to the system as was the 4X antics going into every corner. People really don't like being overtaken by a mountain bike, so it was a great workout! Amen for riser bars and disc brakes for maximum elbows out, T-bone, brake check action. Roll on next week!
