Freshly back from pre-riding dalby course and its riding the best I've seen it.  Since last year the singletrack has seen a lot of use.  In my opinion this has been a benefit as the trails have bedded down, new lines have appeared and it flows really nicely.

Biggest news of all is the appearence of the brand new XCracer.com team kit.  Distinctive in blue and with sponsors XCracer, Mt Zoom, Exposure Lights, Accelerade and Gateway Cycles all appearing in various places.  Come and let us know what you think tomorrow.

Back to the course and its mainly without change from previous BMBS and World cup versions except there is a slight shortening directly out of the start/finish field, no bus stops in Worry Gill and Dixon's Hollow is not being used.  This means that the length is 5.9km, 100m inside the UCI limit!  Never fear, all the usual favourites are there and Worry Gill in particular is nicely greasy, Medusa's drop is dusty and Jingleby summit is just plain hard!

I can't really comment on what tyres to run (except for pimpy white like phil above!).  I had a mixture on and was sliding around on certain sections.  I would lean towards something with a tough carcass and good side nobbles as there are a lot of flat corners requiring a grippy tyre.

Looking forward to the racing tomorrow, kick off at 9.30 with the female categories and later on a 12.00 for the elite male race and the final masters/vets categories at 2.30pm.  There are no on the day entries but the action in the elite races will be electric, I spotted Geoff Kabush practising on the course....
