Switzerland's Jolanda Neff has claimed the first-ever European Games gold medal by winning the women's Mountain Bike event at the Baku 2015 Games on Saturday (13 June).

The 22-year-old world no.1 lived up to her pre-race tag of favourite with a dominant display at the Mountain Bike Velopark, finishing in one hour 31 minutes and five seconds.

The battle for silver and bronze was much tighter, with Switzerland's Kathrin Stirnemann finishing behind her compatriot and just ahead of Poland's Maja Wloszczowska.

A full photo report of both the Women's & Men's race by OP Photographic will be available later today.
