Now there's nothing wrong with the Royal Mail's 'Special Delivery' service, but when Chris (Charge Bikes) suggested riding to Pat Adams house to hand deliver the entry forms in the sunshine today, standing impatiently in a queue for half an hour while people renewed their car tax and collected their pension rather lost it's lustre!
Fair play to the Oxford Uni guys who were the first to arrive just after midnight! I value my sleep too much, so we arrived at Vein Cottage about twelve hours later for a much appreciated cup of tea and slice of cake :-) A cracking mid-week 4hr road ride in the Peak District, well apart from the 10 mile climb at threshold into a headwind.
