Mud, Sweat and Gears have been organising the Eastern Region Series since its inception in 2008. During that time we have seen a huge increase in not only the number of events but also the number of people enjoying our events.

We are a very welcoming bunch and we want our events to be everything to everyone and allow everybody to gain what they want from racing, be you a first timer or an old pro, all are welcome.

We will be running to our tried and tested MSG format that allows ample course practice time along with dedicated race time. For more information please visit www.mudsweatgears.co.uk.

Carver Barracks formally a wartime airfield is now home to the Royal Engineers 101 and 33 squadrons, for the past year Walden Velo along with Newdales Cycles have been given permission to use the site for MTB events which we ran as a mid-week evening series last summer. Although we lack any hills the airfield is surrounded by woods within which we have a network of single-tracks, ditches and the odd Tank mound! Furthermore, we have added log drop-offs and rock features to keep you on your toes , these are all linked by gravel roads and deer tracks. Put this all together and you have a fast flowing course that tests your fitness levels and your technical skills.
