Black Park XC12

Our 7th year of running MTB events at this popular all weather race venue, the circuit as always will be fast, flat and technical in places combining twisty single track with fire road sections. It is anticipated that 2011 Elite winner Jody Crawforth will be back to try to make it a hat trick of wins in the Elite race.

The Park are allowing us to extend the area we use for the course so hopefully we are going to have some nice new sections to try out, lap distance is going to be approximately 3 miles with a shorter lap for the under 10/12's

This event incorporates racing for all ages and abilities and will include the London Single Speed Championship as well as the Emergency Services championship.

Sponsorship from the Bucks off road sportive will see the winner of the single speed race walking away with a £100 cash first prize. The London Single Speed champion will be the first rider residing within the M25 to finish in the single speed race.

Generous sponsorship from Beyond Mountain Bikes, the Feed Station and Go Ape will see some good prizes given out in all categories, all races will have trophies and medals for the first three finishers, beginners and fun categories prizes will however be given out as spot prizes

Prizes-1st 3 male and female riders subject to 6 riders in each category except for Fun/Beginner which will be given out as spot prizes

All prizes will be presented on the day - no prizes will be sent on.

Signing on and course inspection will be open from 9 a.m.

Pre entry will close at Midnight on the 29th Feb, entry on the day will be available at a £3 surcharge for all classes except the emergency services event for which there is no entry on the day.

Race HQ-Black Park Country Park has a hard standing car park, proper toilets and café on site.

Although this event is run under the banner of British Cycling, no licence or club membership is required.
