This is my very short blog which has very little to do with the race. I will firstly mention the weather which was mental!! On the Friday night I really did start to wonder at one point weather we would wake up some where down river, as the rain was just relentless and with the addition of what seemed like a hurricane passing through the camp site! But we did survive till the morning only to find 1 eze-up totally destroyed and the other upside down! Also a number of others had been uprooted including the cycle surgery's pitch! At about 830 a guy came past looking very confused because he couldn't even find his eze-up! (maybe it had flown to OZ).

As for the race I will some it up as one of the most enjoyable 24hr races ive ever done despite the weather. I will leave the full report to team mate Verity!

The last 10 months have been very busy for us raising funds to go to the USA for our son Ryley to have an operation.

During this time we have had a lot of support from fellow MTBers and cycling friends, so heres a quick thank you to everyone who has supported us in anyway.I hope we havent missed anyone out and if we have thank you to you also.

A big high five from Ryley to Martyn Salt and family for all his efforts, support and donation's, The Horton's - fantasic friends, cheers for all your contributions from literally word go since Ryley's arrival!! Michelle Sanwell for her fantastic efforts, Kirsty Prior for her amazing effort, Damien Redman and Gareth Hayes for there support. WestDrayton Guys for there donation, Rob Rowe for his support. Clive Powell Cycles and CycleTec for there donations. And additionally everyone along the way who has given us donations at races etc to put towards Ryley's Dream. We are now under a week to go until our SDR journey begins. Thank you!

So no races for us for a few months, the pits will be quieter and creche free from the Morris clang!! But im sure we will see you all at somepoint on our return.

So for now all thats left to be said is Bye Bye !!

Thanks

Phil, Donna, Hali-Rae and Ryley
