Due to the display of a shambles welsh series round 1 event, I am yet to race this year!! So this weekend will be the first outing, although it will be a first for me!! It's a virgin race for me and my wife!! And might end up in divorce!!
We head south west to Plymouth to The Stinger. It sounds like it's going to be a fun race and no pressure dear… but I want a podium finish!

I have not had the best prep for the race, being hampered by yet another kiddy, snotty cold.. Which attracts to daddy's chest like a bloody magnet! And additionally by being called by Donna at 8am after a night out on a call… saying Ryley and her had been blue lighted to hospital!! After spending a day in a humid hospital…. I feel like the patient. Whilst little man is on the mend.  But at least this race is not all down to me, hey!

I managed to get out for a 2 hour spin today, so now I look forward to the stinger and this whole new experience!

Donna's bit!  As it's less than 2 days until the event,  my tummy is starting to tumble. Not so much the fact of not being able to run, because I know I can a bit…(praying my body aches and dickey  joints stay happy!) but more the fact that form pre-entries Phil is one of the stronger riders and if I come in from the first run somewhere near the top end, then problem free,  he should return near the front.. then the pressure is on me to run the last killer stinger climb to bring it home for xcracer.com.(or somewhere near!!) He may just leave me there, if I can't pull it off!! But it's all for fun and looking forward to it, just hope it's not too cold…because I'm a bit of a nesh old bird!!

See ya there and lookout for our post event blogs, I'm sure they are going to be amusing!!
