Unique coastal event just weeks away
On Saturday October 1st, Tide to Tide, a unique coastal off-road cycling event returns to South Wales with an extra cyclocross option on October 2nd also available.
Tide to Tide is a six hour event, racing from low to tide (2pm to 8pm) on a spectacular 7km course throughout the magnificent Pembrey Country Park, home to other events such as Battle on the Beach and the Rd1 2016 British MTB Series.
Entry options include solo, pairs and trios with the course taking a snaking route through woodland with heaps of fun single and doubletrack as well as a short section on the hard, fast beach. We’ve designed it for all off-roaders like mountain bike, cyclocross or fat bikes. But if it rolls on dirt and you can pedal it, it’ll be fine.
For 2016 the crew have teamed up with Welsh Cycling with a round of the Welsh Cyclocross season taking place on the Sunday, using a shorter and sharper course with loads of categories and options including kids races available.
Camping is available on site plus limited electric hookups and Pembrey Country park is great for families with a huge adventure playground, Wales' longest toboggan run, dry ski slope, horse riding and of course the wonderful woodland and beach.
Entries are open now, but no entry on the day is available, so don't hang around – www.tide2tide.co.uk
