I have had rather a quiet week where mountain biking is concerned, so instead of doing a quick interview with one person whilst out and about, I utilised social media and asked my followers and friends 'What Are You Wearing This Winter?'.

Today has been a rather mixed bag of weather: rain, wind, sun and changeable temperatures all within a few minutes. Even if you were lucky enough to not get rained on, you were still probably going to get wet. And muddy!

As such, most people who answered me seemed to be wearing everything! Lots of layers and waterproofs were the name of today's game...

Gore kit was a popular choice -

Matt Hoyle went for Gore contest bibs and Gore Alp-X gilet, Frankie White never did make it out but had planned to wear her Gore jacket and for Rachel Fenton "Gore waterproof shorts! For commuting and mtb...".

Arm and leg warmers are spring and autumn staple, for when shorts leave you with turkey legs and longs leave you sweaty. Matt brown donned his Kinesis arms and legs, whilst Darren Evans braved the Scotland in arm warmers but no legs. Brave man!

This is not Matt Brown, but these are the very funky Kinesis arm and knee warmers! It is in fact Katy Winton in action at the Dutch national series.

Harry Hendriks, national coach of Thailand, tweeted me to say "bibshort/jersey....still 30 degrees here".I'm not sure we're friends anymore.

Back in the real World, Kat Simpson just went for "a nice waterproof"!
You can't beat a nice waterproof...
