Questions:

First race experience?
2005 SXC Series at Sidlaws, Scotland. 3rd in Schools Cat.

What's the funniest thing a spectator has shouted at you?
"Come on Slow Coach, faster faster" By a 3 year old as I was leading a club winter series race.

Favourite motivational tune?
Mr Brightside - The Killers. 3 of us set out with 3 bikes and kit loaded into a tiny car down to Drumlanrig for a great days riding with the Killers, Hot Fuss album on repeat for the journey. Throughout the ride Mr Brightside was stuck in my head and seemed to spur me on. Now whenever times are grim on the bike, that song gets me back on track!

What do you look forward to most at the end of a race?
Standing on the Podiumhopefully!

Toughest competitor you've raced against?
Alex Glasgow/Alex Johnstone (Nevis Cycles) - Out of many races against them I still have never got the better of either of them!

Favourite race course?
No Fuss 10 @ Kirroughtree Course. Have done this race 3 years in a row and every year No Fuss take advantage of the Kirroughtree red graded trail, hidden trails and freshly cut lines. In particular the last descent through the trees at break neck speed never fails to put a smile on your face!

What's the best bit of advice you've been given?
"Go Big or Go Home"

Best bit of kit or training aid ever bought?
Garmin Edge 500

29 or 26?
Small wheels so 26!

Gentle recovery or aggressive rest?
Set out for a gentle recoveryusually turns out to be an aggressive rest!
