BikeArt Winter Series 2013 Thetford Forest - 27th January  - Photo Report

After several days of snow and freezing temperatures it was in some doubt that the event could take place, however overnight night rain (12mm) wash most of the snow away, though some was still present at the start along the fire road. Therefore a slow rolling start behind the safety quad bike was required (see pics 385-389) before releasing the riders on the 6.4 mile circuit. With all the snow and rain it was surprising how well drained the tracks were and mud was only a challenge in a few sections. Some great racing was had on some of circuit in clear bright sunshine which was great for the spectators. Luckily no incidents were reported from the remaining ice & snow.
