The warm up race for the British round of the World Cup at Dalby Forest in Yorkshire would provide the perfect setting once again for round two of the British XC Series.  With fantastic weather and dry dusty trails, a big surprise for this time of the year, the team were raring to go and get stuck in to another big race.

The excitement was confounded when the team management introduced the new team vehicle for this year which would house the team and their equipment all over Europe.

All riders were in an excitable mood as they arrived in Scarborough on Friday evening and this showed on Saturday as the team put in some strong practice laps together with the exception of Paul, who couldn't shake off the cold he was carrying meaning he would have to sit out the race on Sunday much to his disappointment.

Once again the team had a full set up and created some excellent attention as they warmed up for the race Sunday morning.  It was another strong International field with the likes of Geoff Kabush from Canada taking to the start line.

A great start by both Chris and Ben saw them come through the first and second descents together inside the top 30 and looking good.  Just behind in the Junior race, Alex had got off to a stormer and moved straight into the top 5!

As the race progressed, Chris started to move up through the field and by lap 3 was into 17th position.  Ben was keeping things steady and sitting around the 30th position mark.  By lap six both Chris and Alex tired slightly and finished 20th and 8th respectively with Ben keeping it consistent throughout to finish 32nd.

It was another fantastic race by all the riders and is a real positive sign for there up and coming races in Europe.  The team will now briefly go there separate ways, Alex and Ben to Holland next weekend followed by another trip to Holland in three weeks time by all but Paul who will travel to Hungary.  We will then be joined by Rourke ready for a hectic schedule of European racing.

Exciting times lay ahead!
