Mountain Trax - Vauxhall Cycling Team and SCOTT Sports UK to go their separate ways

After 3 successful years the Mountain Trax - Vauxhall Cycling Team and SCOTT Sports UK are to go their separate ways. Our partnership has seen huge success including a National Championship, the BIKE Transalp 2014 stage race title and two Manx End 2 End wins.

The decision was made to find a new bike sponsor who can help create a platform for further success in the UK and also at World Cup level. Each year the team aims to step up a level, improving it's results, gain greater exposure and recruit better riders. The team have a long list of talented riders interested in riding in the 2016 team colours. The search for a new bike sponsor continues and meetings are organised with several bike brands at this weeks NEC Birmingham Cycle Show.

Ideally we need to deal with a bike brand directly to have access to bigger resources to help us grow and achieve our goals. The sponsor needs to have the same passion and ambition as the team. Hopefully there's a bike brand out there looking for a team like ours.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to SCOTT Sports UK for their support over the years. A special mention has to be made to Phil and Scott in marketing. A big thank you to Nick Craig who I've learnt a huge amount from. SCOTT are at the forefront of bike technology, the Scale and Spark have powered us to many a win. It's been great being part of the SCOTT family.

The team attends many of the World’s major mountain bike events achieving considerable success including World Cup XC and World Marathon Series top 20 results. In the UK the team’s event arena space offers sponsors fantastic brand exposure and gives great presence compared to other teams. Whilst the team have had success internationally our expansion plans for 2016 should enable us to attend a more complete international race schedule. The plan is to add additional riders to our roster capable of World Cup results. This would bolster the team’s already strong line up which includes the current UK National Marathon Champion.
