The 2007 Trek Marathon Series combines with the Freerange Sports Optics Cross Country series to create 5 great weekends of top quality racing and enjoyment. Each round takes place on the Sunday of the race weekend, this year we’ve split the full marathon riders from the half and family marathon riders. All these events will be timed to allow you compare placings throughout the year, but that doesn’t mean they’re packed with head-down pro racers and the variety of riders on course makes for a great atmosphere at the front and rear of the pack. The courses are varied from the relatively flat, singletrack rich trails of Sherwood and Thetford to the long open climbs of Margam, river crossings and variety of Newnham and the man made technical challenge of Coed Y Brenin. All courses will be 12.5km apart from Margam (25k) and Coed Y Brenin (16k approx) which will have a longer loop but shortened race distance to reflect the technical challenge on offer.
