Grizedale Mountain Bike Challenge returns for 2016 after a break of 5 years. This much loved event will be the highlight of a full weekend of mountain biking all in and around Grizedale Forest.

GMBC will return to its roots with the course following much of the original and best course around the forest taking in some of the best known trails and some lesser ones. It will feature everything from winding single track to rocky descents, gravel roads and high moorland with stunning views over the English Lake District. Don't let the 30 miles deceive you though, this will challenge even the fittest with a total of 4200ft of climbing!

Why not make a full weekend of it? Camping will be available Friday and Saturday night. We will be planning a full weekend of activities and parties to celebrate all things MTB and the summer season coming to a close! On Friday there will be a Pasta Party, Saturday night a post GMBC barbecue!! Sunday is demo day!! Try out as many different bikes as you can on our fully way marked course and talk directly to people behind the brands. Are you ready for the challenge?

Entry for the race is £30.00 And to make a weekend of it for an extra £10.00 (we recommend you do!) which includes... Camping on Friday night and Saturday night for one tent with a maximum of 4 people, Park Tool Pasta Party provided by Grizedale Forest Cafe, Evening entertainment, including live music on Saturday night Sunday Bike Demo Free Gift (one per tent)

Also happening over the weekend... Saturday Night BBQ On site Bar Bouncy Castle Friday night Lazer Quest (to be confirmed) Specialized, Scott, Genesis, Saracen bikes on site, with a Demo ride on the Sunday Sunday Demo Ride Join the staff on a chilled out Sunday night ride, finishing with a drink at the local before hometime.

For those who wish to join us for the weekend and not race you are welcome to pay the £10 and enjoy the camping, and Pasta as well as a weekend of fun filled bike madness!
