So, the murmurings were true! We are delighted to bring you the Mendip Murmuration, the third Somerset based non-competitive off-road cycling event in our calendar. Off the back of our successful Quantock Quake and Exmoor Explorer events we have been asked by the National Trust to deliver a similar event set in the beautiful Mendip Hills AONB as part of the 2017 South West Outdoor Festival.
Registration will be at the Festival main site on Warren Farm, Blagdon, near Cheddar, BS40 7XR. The Mendip Murmuration is a gathering of like minded individuals coming together with a common purpose. Riding your bike through some of Somerset's stunning landscapes. Cruising and carving over and around Cheddar Gorge, Crook Peak, Black Down and Rowberrow Warren will make for an amazing 20 or 30 mile route that will leave you wanting more.
When it's all over you can settle down and enjoy the rest of the festival or head home to roost. Everyone who enters the Mendip Murmuration automatically gets free entry to the South West Outdoor Festival (SWOF) for the full day of the ride, providing access to all facilities, the festival village (complete with bar and top-notch food), entertainment (from guest speakers to live music), and - if you have the legs for it - additional adventure activities. People already camping at the festival who enter the Mendip Murmuration will received an additional event t-shirt and water bottle.
