The XCALIBRE event has been postponed for 2014 and is due to return Summer 2015.

Chain Reaction Cycles are pleased to announce our partnership with Xcalibre, Britain’s first ever televised off-road tour which starts on August 16th 2014 in Pembrokeshire, South Wales.

The inaugural Pro-Am Tour will have a wild west feel with seven varied stages over seven days based in three of Britain's most scenic national Parks - the Pembrokeshire coast, Brecon Beacons and Exmoor. Within those seven stages all the elements of mountain biking will be tested to the limit from cross country to enduro and downhill. The alternative Tour of Britain if you like.

ITV4, who covered the recent Tour of Britain, will be on hand to report on the spectacular action and scenery and capture the fun that can be had when you cycle so close to nature. Britain, now so successful on the road, also boasts a proud heritage in mountain biking, especially in downhill, with Steve Peat, Gee Atherton, sister Rachel Atherton and Tracey Moseley all winning world championships in recent years.

Grant Norris, Global Head of Events at Chain Reaction Cycles said: "We're really looking forward to this event. Like other mountain biking events around the globe Xcalibre will allow teams to actually race and test themselves on land that would not otherwise be available. With the added bonus of a TV highlights show tracking every stage, this will surely become a must do race on the global MTB calendar."
