Track Attack 2015 will be held at Malham Tarn on the 19th April 2015 and will be bigger and better this year. We’re combining the mountain bike event with a running event, giving the participants the option to bike, run or both.
This year the mountain biking will be a British Cycling sportive event, the route will be signed and also have a few marshalls. The running event will be signed clearly.
The start location will be at Malham Tarn Field Studies Centre, National Trust buildings there will serve as our base of operations. This will allow some stunning vistas on your journey around the dales.
Riders and runners can expect:
A professionally run, British Cycling and the Association of Running Clubs affiliated event.
Emergency medical cover
HQ area with parking, gear storage, toilets and catering facilities
Entry into a raffle
The mountain bike course will start at Malham tarn and is around 40km long, it is a figure of eight circuit from the start point, out to Kilnsey and back, then to Settle and return to the FSC. The running course will also start at Malham Tarn and is 6 or 12km, dependent on if you do one or two loops. The combined mountain bike and running course will include one half of the figure of eight bike loop, followed by one loop of the running course.
