Round 2 of the Banjo Cycles Rampage saw over 100 riders hammering round the Checkendon course in warm and steamy conditions with a great turnout from the Banjo team of 10 riders.  The Pedalon team now lead the team competition by only 4 points - 3 dnfs for Banjo prevented them taking a commanding lead.

Chris Minter and Emily Iredale continued their dominance of the Elite categories. Chris is on great form at the moment and was the only rider to post sub 13 minute lap times.

Paul Brennan took the Expert win from Edward Rose. Rob Jackson won again in the Grand Vets. Paul Lloyd (Rides On Air) took the Masters race from a closing Peter Kench (Banjo) by only 14 seconds. Joseph Reid beat last round winner David Pusey in the Open race. Lee Morgan won the Sport race. Lewis King returned to claim the Vet race from Adrian Parry.

In the Female races, Emily Bagnall won the Sport race from Harriet Guest, and Andrea Meek beat Shari Pay in the Open category.

Notable mentions must go to Mark Hebditch moving up from Open to take second in Sport and still riding the oldest bike on the course.  Nick Onslow is the maddest rider for competing in the Thorpe Park Triathlon before riding in Vets on his cross bike! Nice to see old SMBC face Dan Giffin back racing Masters too.

The series continues in two weeks time on 6th October same place, same time.
