Thanks to the generous support from Silverfish UK, the Fully Sussed women's XC team consisting of Maddie Horton (Eilite), Lucy Allan (Junior), Evie Lane (Youth) and team manager Jay Horton will all be riding the Yeti ARC C this year.

The team have set their sights high for the 2014 XC season, and with Fully Sussed providing the coaching support and Silverfish UK supplying the kit, all that is left now is to put in the training hours. Winter base training has gone well, and the team are now ramping up the hours and piling on the pain to get themselves in top racing shape.

Lucy and Evie have already raced on their new Yeti ARC Cs - and both won, but the real challenges are yet to come with the National XC series starting at the end of March. Having won all their races so far this season, both Lucy and Evie are leading the National rankings in their categories. Maddie and Jay's race XC campaign will have a delayed start (due to the pair also being race organisers) and begins in March.

The team are all based in Plymouth, which makes group training easy to organise, and with Silverfish UK based just a few miles outside of the city the team are amazingly well catered for. Plymouth Based cycle emporium Rockets and Rascals have also jumped on board, offering their mechanical support to keep the team's bikes running smoothly throughout the busy race season.

The team's official launch took place at the RaceFace Circus of Dirt mini enduro this weekend. While not the team's usual cup of tea, the enduro formed part of their focused build up, concentrating on the skills needed to get down the mountain quickly, as well as to the top. While XC racing is the team's bread and butter, events like this will help the girls to improve their skills riding downhill at speed, and are also a welcome break from winter interval training!

You will be able to catch the team at each of the National XC Series events this year, with the National Championships in July being their key target.
