Entry closes at midnight tonight here on xcracer.com for TORQ in your Sleep held this August Bank Holiday weekend at Minley Manor, Hants. In it's 8th year now, additional categories this year have only added to it's widespread appeal.
The venue opens at noon on Saturday with riders choosing their pitches on a first come, first served basis but all solo riders can be trackside. The venue has plenty of facilities, toilets and showers.
With their experience and attention to detail, Gorrick's unique 8 mile figure of 8 course is always keenly anticipated, and there's plenty of time to pre-ride it. 3pm Saturday afternoon there are children's races with medals and sweets for all riders and the podium out for photo opportunities.
Saturday evening will be relaxed with full catering available, Millie singing and films and popcorn at the Marquee.
Sunday morning riders confirm their Teams, collect their Rider Packs, pre-ride the course, hire lights from Four4th Lights, check out the sponsors' trade stands in the Arena, attend the riders' briefing and generally prepare for the mass 12 hour start at Noon (3pm for 6 hour riders).
Once the 12 or 6 hours is up, riders complete the lap they're on before heading to the Marquee to check their results, chat and enjoy a beer before the winners' prize giving. Riders not in with a shout of a trophy may still be prize winners if they put their number board in for the prize draw, as Gorrick have very generous sponsors.
