LATEST NEWS Resuls are in and can be gound on the Shred Events website
Round One of Shred Events Circus of Dirt Kicks off tomorrow at Hustyns Wood just outside Wadebridge in Cornwall and I've been down today for a sneaky pre ride.
After Sherwood, Hustyns offers something different, technical climbing that you'll either nail or mess up, rooty single track that will reward the smooth and of course a river crossing or two but don't worry we're not talking Newnham waist deep torrents here but shallow, tranquil trickles.
If you've not entered already, entry on the day is still available for the 1 and 2 hour Enduro in the morning and the traditional XC race in the afternoon.
Tires. Yep I'd suggest at least two one on the front and one on the back, the choice is up to you but there are plenty of roots, stony climbs and the odd boggy bit. I went round on Fast tracks and didn't have any issues.
Getting there. The Shred Events team have been doing the internet equivalent of carpet bombing the directions, posting and emailing and not without good reason. It's a long way in, even when you get to the woods there's still a way to go to get to the parking. Don't give up hope but please park sensibly and use the Right hand side of the fire track.
